Rhinoplasty lasts from 20 minutes (minimum) to an hour. During and after surgery, as a rule, the patient does not feel any pain. There is only slight discomfort associated with the restriction of nasal breathing due to the introduction of tampons into the nostrils, which are usually removed after 24 to 48 hours.
If rhinoplasty was performed in a traditional (closed) way, then after the operation there are no traces left. In the case of the open method, a subtle scar remains. To prevent postoperative complications, a plaster cast is applied to the nose. She will have to be worn for 6 to 8 days. To maintain the contour and shape of the nose and reduce swelling, swabs of gauze are installed. After open rhinoplasty, the sutures are removed after a week.
